FREE Access! Evidence-Based Practice in Action: A Mid-Year Review

January 2, 2024

This asynchronous course is a mid-year review for early childhood teachers, instructional assistants, and administrators to reflect on and reteach current practices to ensure that preschool students acquire, practice, maintain and generalize skills that reduce challenging behavior and increase academic success.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Identify three reasons to do a mid-year review to result in student growth.
  • Differentiate between the three stages of learning to decide if reteaching or revising is necessary for mastery of skills.
  • Evaluate three elements to consider reteaching or revising to ensure maintenance and generalization of skills.
  • Create a plan to reteach or revise expectations, routines, procedures, the environment, supports, roles, or the classroom culture to ensure maintenance and generalization of skills.
